Leisurely Days in Cambridge - River Cam & Many Museums
I had a few nice days in Cambridge with no real plan. I ate good foods and drank nice coffees.
And visited museums. Many museums.
Here are some videos and photos inside the grounds of Christ's College where I stayed.
I walked through a series of courtyards to get to the building where my room was at.

The students are seriously so lucky to be surrounded by such beauty all the time!
I went inside Queen's College, another college of the University of Cambridge. I had never been before! It's a bit off the beaten path, so it was quite quiet. I sat on the banks of the River Cam and read and was an observer of many punts.
Luckily it wasn't raining during this time! It was raining a lot of the time.
I visited the Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology and the Museum of Zoology. I visited the Sedgwick Museum of Earth Sciences and the Fitzwilliam Museum. All are associated with the university and are free! Lots of history and science and artifacts.
I saw a performance one evening of Much Ado About Nothing in the garden at St. John's College. It was hilarious.
I love being back in Cambridge because I feel like a local and it's nice to enjoy the time in a different way -- not worrying too much about my next move and how I'm going to make it happen. But I was ready for the next item on my itinerary.

And here is the dining hall where students eat meals. Not quite as big as the Great Hall in Harry Potter, but it still has that vibe, no?
Charles Darwin studied at Christ's College. Other notable alumni whose name you might recognize -- Sacha Baron Cohen, John Oliver, and J. Robert Oppenheimer.

On my final day, I picked up my bag from Christ's College's left luggage and grabbed a taxi to Madingley Hall to begin a weekend of lectures. My next post will talk all about that! Stay tuned.
