Travel Plans 2015

Few things make me more pumped than planning a trip. When I think about going somewhere I've never been before, a little burst of excitement lights up in my belly.

This year's travels are already planned and I have enough going on in the next 3 months that the entire year is done, I think, after that.

This weekend I get to go to Washington DC to stand with my friend Michele as her bridesmaid. I haven't seen her since our wedding! It's a cherry blossom themed wedding (it's DC, after all) and I'm so honored to be a part of her day. It will be a quick trip out there and back, but I can't wait to celebrate her and Aimee's love!

In April I get to travel with 5 students to San Antonio, Texas for the annual Phi Theta Kappa convention, which is the international honor society for community college students. I've never been to San Antonio and I hear where we're staying is a beautiful area, so... bonus! I went to this conference last year in Orlando and it was amazingly inspirational for the students and myself. I'm so glad that I took on the role of being Heartland's chapter advisor. Can't wait for it again this year.

In May I get to see my Dutch friend, Joyce! She's the one who was here in October staying with me. I get to spend 2 weeks with her, learning about her college and her job, meeting her colleagues and understanding what they do, and getting to see a little snippet of the Netherlands. I'll be with her from May 16-31.

Things get a little tricky after that. I may or may not be going on a solo travel tour of a couple countries in Europe. I booked it already, but it's not a guaranteed date, so I won't know if it's happening or not for about a month. I hate being in that spot where I don't know for sure what's going to happen. But if it does, here's where I'll be June 1-9!

I'll be going on this tour by myself, which is both thrilling and nerve-wracking at the same time. I've done solo travel before (obviously, my entire time in England was by myself), but this is slightly different. We'll see!

We may be going to Florida in September too! (We, as in, my husband and I!) Adventure awaits!
