Soldiers Return to Cambridge

Yesterday evening much of the city centre was closed because troops were returning from Afghanistan and were to march through the town. I got there early because I wanted a good spot and was successful--I stood right on the edge of the barriers. I was so bummed to realize that the battery in my camera was dead. (I would venture to say this is the worst feeling you can have on vacation.) I would've gotten some really good photos because the soldiers were right in front of me the whole time. It was nice to see everyone be so patriotic and to share in the safe return of their troops. There was also two prayers read that commemorated the five soldiers from this regiment that died while serving.

Note to self: Always check that the battery is good before going somewhere to see something!
