Singing on the River

So, you may remember that yesterday I locked myself into my room to work on homework. Well, I also went to an event--the aforementioned "Singing on the River."

These dudes are so talented. The atmosphere was nice... sitting on the grass behind King's College, watching the punters go by, with the ambiance of the river and the sunset, while listening to beautiful singers. They did some traditional hymns and spiritual songs and then got into the fun stuff of pop songs like "Thriller" by MJ, "I Want It That Way" by the Backstreet Boys, and "A Whole New World" from Aladdin. The commentary between songs was hilarious too. It only happens once a year, so I felt lucky to go.

Today was quite a productive day at work and I felt entirely different than I did last week. (You may recall that the hours were dragging by and that I couldn't wait to leave.) I'm not saying that I wanted to stay there all day today, but I felt like I knew what I was doing and was actually accomplishing something. I think I also feel better because I'm not totally overwhelmed by homework right now. It's always better when you feel competent, capable, and organized. Let's hope this continues. I can't believe I only have three weeks left at the office.
