Phone & Internet

Pretty mellow day at work today. Mostly just more organization and orientation. I had no meetings, so I had plenty of time to really think about the project and start some preliminary writing. Starting to feel more comfortable in the office. It's a pretty quiet place and it seems as though everyone does their own thing without much collaboration. Not a good or bad thing--just different.

I FINALLY went to the T-Mobile store to get a SIM card to call home. It took all of 5 minutes. I talked to my dad and Peggy, which made me really happy. I'm still waiting for Philip to pick up. It's amazing that I can call and talk to them immediately, without any sort of delay or interruption. I'm so far away--how is that possible?!

I had some time this afternoon to look in some shops down in the city centre, which is where the T-Mobile store is. So much shopping to do, it's not even funny. I love it. I wanted a lot of stuff and I'll probably go back to get a couple pairs of shoes that I saw. I need more than one afternoon for this area... I probably need three whole days or so. And an extra £2000 or so. Please?

The internet has been really spotty this afternoon, which is very annoying. I'm not sure what the issue is, but even today when I go downstairs on the first floor near the router it doesn't work very well. This is not a good thing because at times I feel like the internet is my only connection to home. I also have class tomorrow night and it's imperative that the internet work for that. Let's hope it gets ironed out before then.
